I think out of all the days-of-the-week sayings, Happy Hump Day has to be one of the worse. Not only does it sound dirty (eew...) it also just doesn't shout what I want it to. I don't know about you but I want my mid-week saying to shout, 'Good job! You're almost there.... Two more days and counting... The weekend is in sight...' kind of thing.
I think we have the Friday hashtag on point with #Fri-YAY. A word you simply cannot say without a smile on your face is what Friday's are all about. I'm going to make it my mission to come up with a new mid-week saying that doesn't make me squirm.
#MidWeekMadness
#WeMadeItWednesday
#HalfWayHappHour
Okay, maybe not. Thinking cap on...
I was planning on sharing the third and final picture post from my Barcelona holiday but thought I would break it up a little with a few snaps from my weekend. I'm not sure if it's because I'm an extremely nosey person but I love reading what people get up to in day to day life through pictures.
1. Waking up in the 'new' house at the weekend is one of my favourite things at the moment. The look on my face would suggest otherwise but I swear I was happy.
2. With the Santorini countdown now into weeks instead of months I've been trying my best to work out. My friend Aimee and I have been doing the Kayla Itsines workout at lunch a couple times a week and I feel like I'm finally seeing a little difference. If you're looking for a new fitness workout to start I would highly recommend this. I'm not sure how she did it but Kayla has managed to pinpoint a workout that really works you in the places you want. But don't be fooled by those 7 minute circuits. I've been close to spewing on many occasions....
3. I've also decided to give Bootea a try for the Santorini bod. I'm not sure if it's making a difference to my weight but I would definitely say I feel a lot less bloated. It has broke my skin out a little but I'm hoping this is just a stage of the detox and will swiftly disappear...
4. I've not had my nails done in a few weeks now as I'm trying to give my nails a mini breather before getting them done for my holiday. I've always enjoyed painting my nails and tend to miss it when I have my falsies on. The chips I do not miss...
5/6. On Saturday evening the sun finally made an appearance so instead of going to the pictures as originally planned (and staying off the drink), The Boy and I decided to enjoy dinner and Prosecco outside on our new garden furniture!
7. This is one of my favourite views in Glasgow - crossing the Kingston Bridge. I LOVE to drive over the bridge on a sunny night at sunset as it's such an iconic view.
8. On route to the cinemas. We went to see The Longest Ride as it's written by one of our favourite writers, Nicholas Sparks. I did really enjoy it but I wouldn't say it was his best film. Next movie on the cards - Minions :D
9. Sunny days in my car = a lot of sky gazing through my sunroof
Happy mid-week everyone!
XoXo
